Vaï, Kato Zakros, Palekastro

Kouremenos, a  beach is 1.5 km long with fine brown sand, shallow waters and many tamarisk trees. Exposed to strong winds, the site is popular with windsurfers and kite surfers internationally. Kato Zakros is a traditional fishing village on the edge of the " gorge of the deadts" this is because of the many Minoan tombs found in its caves and walls. Not to mention the recent discovery of the remains of a Minoan Palace.
